I never got around to posting the actual photos of the process for fabricating our staircase railings. You’ll be able to grasp how many hiccups we hit along the way; the balustrades not being to code (too far apart), the new posts being smaller than the existing holes in the staircase and needing custom brackets, and the wood patching that goes along the way. The upper rail needed an entire upper wood mounting strip to support the weight, and the correct stain wasn’t used, but that’s the least of my worries right now. Some day, I’ll have to sand, and re-stain. One of the guys you’ll see in the photos actually used to work for Albert Paley! As for the photos, it’s better late than never!!!
